Human Trafficking and Internet Safety Awareness Event

Tessa Hessmiller, Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Michigan and Alisha Meneely, Director of Outreach for the Michigan Child Protection Registry will host a training on Human Trafficking in West Michigan, tips on how to spot it and how parents can keep their children safe. Tessa will speak on recent cases in the West Michigan area, what human trafficking looks like and what to do if you believe someone is being trafficked. Social media is now the number one place that traffickers go to find their victims. Alisha Meneely will discuss the apps that traffickers use and how you can keep your family safe when using mobile devices.
